Baby oil is great for dusting wood and it makes the house smell so good too! Dont know about mineral oil as I have never tried it. But I do know for a fact that baby oil works!!!
I can’t think of why you would want to use baby oil on furniture. I think you would wind up with a bigger mess than you started with.
In fact, I don’t think you should use any sort of oil or spray on furniture.
Earlier this year, I bought a dresser and nightstand and the manufacturer’s instructions were to wipe the dust off with a barely wet rag. And it works great. For example, if you have a bar-mop type towel that has just come out of the washing machine and it’s been rung out really well — try wiping down your furniture with it. It’s really all you need for nice furniture.
This whole Pledge thing is something invented by a big corporation to get money out of your pocket and into theirs.
I wouldn’t because the oil would build up over time and you would be left with a gummy residue that is almost impossible to remove.
you could, but I wouldn’t. The oil left behind would attract dust. For dusting use something like pledge or endust, for polishing use a wood polish.
You can, but make sure that you get all the oil off. The dust would be harder to remove the next time due to the oil being wet.
Just be easier to use products like pledge or murphys oil soap/
yes you can, you may also use orange oil
